Objective To establish quality standard of Bulbus Lilii-Rhizoma Anemarrhenae capsules. Methods The Bulbus Lilii and Rhizoma Anemarrhenae were identifed in the capsules by TLC. HPLC was adopted to determine the content of mangiferin. Results The chief medical materials Rhizoma Anemarrhenae in the capsule and the corresponding reference substances showed the identical discrimination reactions, but Bulbus Lilii did not so. The mangiferin curve showed good linearity over the range of 0.0674-1.348 μg, r=0.9998, and the lower detection limit was 0.0674 μg.The average recovery was 98.89±0.497％, RSD=0.50％. Conclusion The method is sensitive in qualitative reaction, specific in TLC identification，accurate in HPLC quantitation,and repentable.The established standard is applicable to the quality control of Bulbus Lilii-rhizoma anemarrhenae capsules.
