Objective To set up a nursing intervention system for high-alert medicines and to ensure patients'safety. Methods A management team was established, the categories of high-alert medicines defined, the main causes of unexpected errors analyzed, and knowledge intervention，environment intervention and four-level intervention were implemented．Results The nursing quality of high-alert medications was improved after interventions（P＜0.05). Conclusion Application of nursing interventions to high-alert medications can ensure nursing safety and improve the management quality of hight-alert medications．
