Clinical efficacy of facial corticosteroid addicted dermatitis with Tripterygium hypoglaucum Hutch combined with 1% pimecrolimus

Abstract

Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of Tripterygium hypoglaucum Hutch combined with Pimecrolimus in treating patients with facial corticosteroid addiction dermatitis. Methods Seveny-two patients with facial corticosteroid addicted dermatitis were randomly dividecl into the study group (n=36) and the control group (n=36). The subjects in study group were given Tripterygium hypoglaucum Hutch two tabltes orally one time,three times a day and ebastine 10 mg orally one time, a day and topocal pimecrolimus ointment two time a day. The subjects in control group were given ebastine 10 mg orally,one time a day and topical cream made in this hospital, two times a day. The therapeutie effects and adverse effects weve observed after treatment for two and four weeks. Results In the study group,36 cases could be evoluated at the end with a efficacy rate of 67%. In the control group , 36 cases finished the clinical trial with a efficacy rate of 17%.There was a statistically significant difference between the two groups. Conclusions Trpterypium hypoglaucum Hutch combined with pimecrolimus is effective and safe in treating facial corticosteroid addicted dermatitis and deserves to be used wildely.
