Objective To study the coping style of recruits and the relationship between family environment and coping style, to provide instruction for the development of talented person, the recruits health maintenance, and select the special post persons. Methods 250 recruits were tested by using Family Environment Scale and Coping Style Questionnaire. Results The coping style of recruits included solving problem, ask for help, fantasy, self-reproach, avoidance, rationalization. Cohesion, intellectual-cultural orientation and organization were the estimating variables of the mature coping style. Intellectual-cultural orientation, conflict, moral-religious emphasis, active-recreational orientation and organization were the estimating variables of the immature coping style. Conclusions The coping style of recruits (2013 yr) is good. The family environment has important influence on the coping style.
