Internal fixation aided by video-assisted thoracoscope with Ti-Ni alloy claw-like rib bone plate in treating multiple fractured ribs combined with hemopneumothorax

Abstract

Objective To study the application effect of internal fixation aided by videoassisted thoracoscope with Ti-Ni alloy claw-like rib bone plate in treating multiple fractured ribs combined with hemopneumothorax. Methods A total of 24 patients of multiple fractured ribs accompanied by hemopneumothorax were analyzed to evaluate the clinical effect,who had internal fixation aided by video-assisted thoracoscope with Ti-Ni alloy clawlike rib bone plate from March 2007 to October 2013. Results All 24 patients were cured. Conclusions The operation of internal fixation aided by video-assisted thoracoscope with Ti-Ni alloy claw-like rib bone plate is a safe and effective treatment for patients with multiple fractured ribs combined with hemopneumothorax. It is worth promoting for clinicians.
