Objective To evaluate the effect of statins on chronic heant failure (CHF). Methods The clinical data in 100 patients with CHF from this hospital were collected, NYHA ClassⅡ-Ⅳ,and LVEF≤50%.According to whether statins were taken or not, the patients were assigned into two groups,and each group with 50 patients. The levels of left ventriculer end-dimension (LVEDD), left vewtricular end-rystohic climension(LVESD), LVEF, C-reactive protein (CRP), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), NT-pro BNP, admission times and mortality were compar. Results 1. Compared with the control group, LVESD and LVEDD levels in the statins group significantly decreased (P<0.05), while LVEF was significantly increased(P<0.05).2.In the statins group, the CRP,LDL-C and NT-proBNP was dramatically decreased (P＜0.05),but there were no remarkably changes in control one.3.Admission times and mortality in two groups showed the difference(P<0.05) . Conclusions CHF based on cardiovascular disease with long-term use of statins has obvious benefit.
