Abstract

Objective To evaluate the combined value of MR cholangiopancreatography (MRCP) maximum intensity projection (MIP) and T₂WI in the diagnosis of biliary stones. Methods 3D MRCP、 MIP and T₂WI were performed in 212 patients.Retrospective results of 212 cases were compared with operation and pathology to analyse their diagnostic rate. Results Original images of 3D MRCP revealed 180 cases of biliary stones,display rate 84.91%. MIP revealed 175 cases of biliary stones,display rate 82.55%.Axial T₂WI revealed 169 cases of biliary stones,display rate 79.72% .Combination of three methods revealed 193 cases of biliary stones,display rate 91.04%. Conclusions MRCP combined with MRI can improve the diognostic rate of biliary stones.
