Abstract

Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of levels of TAC,Ox-LDL,SOD and Hs-CRP of serum for patients with ischemic stroke. Methods The levels of TAC and Ox-LDL were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. A Beckman Coulter AU5821 blood biochemical analyzer was used to detect other indexes. Results In the patient group, the level of TAC was decreased significantly, almost 1/12 of the level of the normal control group(P<0.01),and the levels of HDL-C and SOD were also decreased(P<0.05), but the levels of Hs-CRP, Ox-LDL and LDL-C were markedly increased(P<0.01).In the patient group, the level of Hs-CRP was 16 times that of the normal control group, the level of Ox-LDL was 1.7 times the normal level, and the level of LDL-C was 1.6 times the normal level. Conclusions There is significant difference between ischemic stroke patients and normal controls. The occuurence of ischemic stroke is closely related to oxidative stress and inflammation.

Key words

ischemic stroke(IS) / oxidative stress (OS) / total-antioxidant capability(TAC) / super oxide dismutase (SOD) / oxidized low density lipoprotein(OX-LDL) / high sensitivity C reactive protein(Hs-CRP)
