Abstract

Objective To analyze the outcomes of biopsy in patients with abnormal PSA and influencing factors. Methods Data on eighty-seven cases of prostate biopsy patients who had undergone prostate biopsy at our hospital between January 2014 and October 2016 was retrospectively analyzed. Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to analyze such factors as age, body mass index, catheterization, urinary white blood cell increase, blood lipids, tPSA, f/t, prostate volume and PSA density. Results LDL-C(OR:0.140,95%CI 0.026-0.747) and prostate volume(OR:0.084, 95%CI 0.007-0.9530; OR:0.039, 95%CI 0.003-0.465)were significantly associated with prostate cancer. Conclusions We have confirmed that the lower the LDL-C level and the smaller the prostate volume, the greater the risk of prostate cancer.
